June

It was a time when June fell like a star
Then waken the tremors of the night trains
And so the blossoms were fading away,
Before the late spring fledglings fled.
Now the oaks were all still and silent
As I tried to catch the moon with a string,
Yet it fell aside the feet of a woman
So she painted romance to a doleful green.
